Lisa Wines: "I was attracted to the train scene but disturbed by the lifeless seated men, rumbling down the track towards a colorless, conforming life. The kneeling man has already withered and given up. The women provide a strong living contrast as they gaze back at the viewer, challenging the status quo, saying, 'We're not going back!'"
