Maralyce Ferree and Chuck Feil moved to Bisbee in 2006 from Portland, Maine where they owned Maralyce Ferree Contemporary Clothing Designs, featuring Ferree’s designs and clothing manufacturing. They soon opened PanTerra Gallery at 54 Brewery Avenue, in historic Old Bisbee, on Halloween of 2006.  Feil (who passed away in 2022) was a recognized photographer, and the gallery initially showcased Feil’s gorgeous works, along with Feil’s vibrant and charismatic personality.  After a few months as a photography gallery, the couple brought in a curated selection of women’s clothing from their friends in the industry, as well as Ferree’s own cutting edge creations. 

PanTerra grew, and in 2009 the couple made the move to 22 Main Street, in the beautiful historic Letson Block, under the Letson Loft Hotel. This is the heart of Bisbee’s Historic District.

The move increased PanTerra’s visibility, and as Ferree phased out of fashion design herself, she added more boutique designer collections.  And Feil’s photography can still be seen adorning PanTerra’s walls.  The gallery now represents over 50 clothing, jewelry, and accessory designers, as well as other art creators, and is very much a fashion boutique.  PanTerra carries smaller labels such as Habitat, Shana, Jess & Jane and Firefly Jewelry—its offerings a true gem in Southeastern Arizona. Ferree sources unique designers and artisans to provide styles that help customers look and feel their best!  And the sales of some of the designers contribute to good causes, including the Bisbee Animal Shelter.

The crew at PanTerra Fashion Boutique is as unique as the clothes and accessories offered in its hand-curated collections. PanTerra’s dedicated, friendly and helpful staff has been working at PanTerra from 9-13 years!

“I see myself and my staff as problem solvers,” says owner Maralyce Ferree. “All women have things they want to accentuate or de-accentuate with their bodies and we help them do that with flattering comfortable clothing and accessories from small designers they aren’t likely to find in department stores. Our motto is ‘Escape The Ordinary’ for just that reason. It is our vision that our clients feel confident to express themselves in their own unique style each time they shop with us.
