Lisa Wines: "Crumbling and bombed out buildings attract me as a collage artist. I don't necessarily want to pretty them up or fix them. Instead, they make an interesting backdrop for telling stories. This is a Jungian image, full of symbolism. There's something holy about the ascending woman and she holds a snake, symbolizing rebirth, healing & protection. The woman standing at the end of the piano is watching her own spirit ascend out of darkness and destruction. The piano and bass players provide numinous accompaniment."
